The SiMG301 SoC family belongs to our next generation Series 3 platform that further extends our leadership in ultra-low power IoT SoCs and modules. Series 3 brings new levels of compute, security, RF performance, and power efficiency that are necessary to address emerging IoT markets. The SiMG301 is purpose built for line powered smart devices including LED lighting, plugs and switches.
The multi-core device has an ARM® Cortex®-M33 running up to 150 MHz for application development and dedicated cores for the radio and security engine. Our Secure Vault™ High, designed for PSA level 3 certification, helps to protect both the data and the device. Memory options of up to 4 MB Flash and 512 kB RAM allow for more demanding applications including support for our concurrent multiprotocol (CMP) that can run both Zigbee and Matter over Thread at the same time on a single device, simplifying SKU management for the product manufacturer and ease of use for the end user.
Optimized for LED lighting applications, select SiMG301 devices integrate key features including a PIXELRZ single wire communication interface for LED controller ICs as well as a LED pre-driver that enables low level and consistent dimming, resulting in a simplified design, reduced BOM, and lower product cost.

EFR32MG21 devices bring high performance, low power and secure solutions to the IoT. Designed to increase processing capability, improve RF performance and lower active current, EFR32MG21 devices are 2.4 GHz wireless SoCs optimized for line-powered Zigbee, Thread and Bluetooth mesh applications, including connected lighting, gateways, voice assistants and smart metering.
The EFR32MG21 family of SoCs includes an integrated security subsystem and devices that can take advantage of Secure Vault technologies. Secure Vault delivers leading security software features with physically unclonable function (PUF) hardware technology to greatly reduce the risk of IoT security breaches and compromised intellectual property
With better than -104.3 dBm sensitivity for both 802.15.4 and Bluetooth Long Range and up to +20 dBm output power, EFR32MG21 provides a robust RF link to ensure reliable communications. EFR32MG21 uses Simplicity Studio 5 development tools, providing easy migration and fast time-to-market with development kits, SDKs, mobile apps and our patented network analyzer.
