Z-Wave 800 Series End Device Software Features and Benefits
Z-Wave is designed to meet the demands of the future smart home, where increasing needs for more sensors and battery-operated devices require both long range and low power. Context-aware environments are the next evolution in the smart home market, and they require technologies optimized for these applications.
Z-Wave 800 is the next generation of Z-Wave SoCs, and modules based on Silicon Labs' Series 2 platform. This platform offers superior RF performance and energy efficiency, as well as the full feature set of Secure Vault™. Z-Wave 800 End Device software from Silicon Labs enables end devices such as security sensors, door locks, light switches/bulbs, and many more to benefit from the Z-Wave applications, which are all certified under the Z-Wave Alliance certification program.
Z-Wave creates bold opportunities for new products and applications for next-generation smart home environments. Z-Wave tools allow fast development to enable future context-aware smart home solutions with dozens or even hundreds of smart devices.

Z-Wave and Z-Wave Long Range 700/800 SDK 7.22.2.0
- Self-certified according to the approved 2024A Specification test suite
- User Credential Command Class implementation is adapted based on the state of the Z-Wave Specification at the time of the 7.22.2 GA release, which may change until the 2024-B1 Z-Wave Specification release
- 7.22.0 GA is officially certified according to the approved 2023B Specification test suite and can be selected on Z-Wave Alliance Certification Portal for End Device product certification
