Overview
The Gateway’s primary purpose has been to serve as an entry and exit point, connecting two or more networks together. Gateways, however, can take many different forms and perform a multitude of different tasks beyond serving as a conduit to the cloud or providing connection to the internet.
This two-session track, hosted by our IoT product design friends at Firia, runs through the anatomy of a Gateway. They discuss the various use cases and drivers for edge devices and cover the differing set ups depending on intended use and environment.
