Overview
The new Matter 1.4 specification, from the CSA, now allows Intermittently Connected Devices (ICDs) to sleep for up to 18 hours by making use of Long Idle Times (LITs). Previously the maximum sleep period was 15 seconds making use of Short Idle Times (SITs). This video provides a quick look at this new feature and compares power consumption between two switch devices, one running in SIT mode and one running in LIT mode.
